What time is check in and what time is check out? Can we request an early check in or late check out?

Check in is 4 PM. If your room is not ready upon arrival, we will pre-register your accommodations, store your bags, and call you on your cell phone when ready.

Check out is 11 AM. Late check outs are afforded whenever possible.

How do I store my baggage prior to checking in or after checking out?

For your convenience, if your room is not ready upon arrival we will store your bags in our facility and issue a claim check. If you need to store baggage after checking out, we can hold it for the entire day/evening of your departure date.

Do you provide shuttle service to and from the Airport to the hotel?

Shuttle service is not available at this time. Taxi service is available at baggage claim – $36.00 flat rate for 1 or 2 -OR- $15.00 per person if more than 2 persons riding.

Is parking available at your hotel?

Complimentary self-parking is available in the parking lot directly across the street from our hotel.

Is there a guest limit per room?

Published Room Rates are based on two-adult occupancy. Additional persons over the age of 17 will incur a charge of $20/guest per night. Children 17 years old and under stay free!

Do you provide roll-away beds or other accommodations for additional persons?

We do not have rollaway beds available, but some of our accommodations are equipped with sofa-sleeper beds; please contact our reservations department for availability.

Are your rooms non-smoking? Is smoking allowed anywhere on property?

For the comfort of our guests and staff, Alder Hotel is a smoke free facility, located on a tobacco-free hospital campus. Smoking is prohibited in all guest
rooms, balconies and corridors. Smoking is allowed in a designated area on the exterior hotel courtyard.

Are pets welcome at The Alder Hotel?

Yes! We are a pet-friendly New Orleans hotel. At The Alder Hotel, we welcome dogs and cats, and look forward to hosting you and your pets when you stay in Uptown New Orleans.

Please review the following policies:
• Pets must be attended by owners at all times, never left unattended in rooms.
• $65 one-time fee will apply per room (non-refundable).
• Pets must be smaller than 50 pounds – limit 2 pets per guest room.
• Guests are responsible for damage to furniture, fabrics, carpet, or other items.
• Breakfast area and Grab-and-Go Market are not available to pets (except service animals).

If you are traveling with large dogs or would like supervision for your dog while you sightsee, we recommend Zeus’ Place.

Do you provide breakfast?

Sorry our historic hotel does not offer breakfast. Our dense culinary district has scores of eateries specializing in breakfast. Our Front Desk will be happy to recommend.
